The car’s unique color, called Impostor Pearl Dark and Impostor Pearl light, was specifically customized by Chip Foose. The vehicle also features triple, twin round taillights, metal closeouts around the inner fender wheel wells and a new 2-seat interior that was clay modeled around the existing dash. To achieve this unique look the Impala body was dropped onto a modern Corvette chassis. The Impostor is a fascinating blend of a gallant city cruiser and a sporty muscle car. The Ridler, one of the custom car industry’s most prestigious awards, was presented to the proud owners, Don and Elma Voth of Canada, at the Detroit Autorama on March 8.
